As a former journalist turned PR I have made a lot of contacts and friends over the years. And if ever they need help or insight for a story I’m happy to get involved.
Today a friend of mine needed case studies to appear on 5 News to talk about the impact of schools being shut.
So I volunteered and invited Phonics with Robot Reg HQ to join me!
It was a great chance to:
•build a relationship with a journalist and media outlet
•get some practice in front of the camera
•get a mention for a brand
•communicate key messages that resonate with your target audience
A good example of why you should always say yes to opportunities!
I had to frantically rush around getting dressed, putting make up, clearing up my kitchen, bribing the children to stay away etc
But it only took a few minutes and was good fun!
