1.       Share it EVERYWHERE

You can’t possibly share it too much. If you feel you have, don’t worry, share it some more! Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, email newsletters, your LinkTree, TikTok get it out there!
Tag the journalist and the publication as well so they can see that you are helping to promote their content. That way they may start following your business on social as well.

Get your family sharing it to.

2.       Consider if any media outlets might want to ‘follow up’

If you have been on TV or featured in a national publications it may be the case that your local newspaper or radio station will be interested in following the story up.

Consider whether you can get your point across to more people and sharing the coverage with local contacts who might cover the story again.

3.       Get creative with your content

Blog about your experience doing the interview, giving the comment and why the issue is important to you, your business or your customers.

Do an Instagram Reel or TikTok video of you seeing your coverage for the first time.

Use the article for a wider piece of content on Facebook or as a news ‘hook’ to share more tips and information about the subject.

4.       Backlink?

This will help with your SEO and also help people find the coverage. They may say no, but more often than not they will say yes.

If it’s a podcast ask for a link in the show notes.

Don’t ask, don’t get and all that!

5.       Never stop using it!

You can share the article time and time again. You can share it whenever that topic is in the media or whenever the issue comes up with your customers. You can share it after a week, month or year. ‘Flashback to that time I was in Grazia taking about…’
